"Kakashi" you barely breathed. You were so happy to see him, and glad that he was alive. "Oh Kakashi" tears were starting to fill your eyes. Orochimaru had gotten up off of you and was standing looking at Kakashi, but Kakashi's eyes didnt leave you. He glared at you obviously upset at catching you kissing another man.

"I see you have survived my poison." Orochimaru said happily at Kakashi. "I guess you are here to take back your girlfriend. You can have her, if she still wants you that is."

"Kakashi dont listen to him of course I still want you." You were standing next to Orochimaru now and you would have run to Kakashi except Orochimarus arm was holding you back.

"I will give her to you Kakashi you need her more than me, but remember she will always be thinking of me. It is me that she dreams of at night. Did she tell you that they nightmares." He laughed at this "You have known her a long time but do you actually really know her, how much has she told you about her past. Did she tell you that it was because of her that I killed all of her clan." You looked at Orochimaru shocked, what did he mean that because of you he killed your whole clan?

Kakashi was standing there the whole time just glaring at you. You knew it hurt him to see you kissing another man but he had to understand that it wasnt your choice. He didnt actually believe Orochimaru did he? But by the looks of it he was, and he wasnt very happy with you.

Orochimaru dropped his arm allowing you to go to Kakashi. You ran to Kakashi but he didnt move towards you and when you hugged him it felt like you were hugging a tree. He was stiff and unmoving sometimes Kakashi could be as stubborn as a child. When you stopped hugging him he just turned around and started walking.

"Come if you want." He said to you over his shoulder. It hurt you deeply that he believed Orochimaru. You gave Orochimaru one last look before you followed after Kakashi.

Orochimaru smiled evilly at you and after you left his sight he said to himself "Run, run little girl but you can never out run me."

It was bright outside and once your eyes focused you saw Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke waiting at the front of the cave with Kakashi. You avoided eye contact with Kakashi you didnt feel like arguing in front of the kids and until you could be alone it were better not to look at him. Kakashi dismissed his dogs thanking them for the help. The kids were happy to see you and they all surprisingly gave you a hug. The one that surprised you the most was Sasuke he didnt look like the hugging type but of all the kids he gave you longest and hardest hug.

When Kakashi spoke it was cold and emotionless only you knew that something was bothering him. "Well we have gotten what we came here to get so lets head back home." That was all he said before he started walking into the woods.

The only kid who seemed to understand there was something wrong with Kakashi was Sasuke he gave you a confused look but didnt say anything before following the others. You sighed wanting to explain to Kakashi everything that happened but knowing that this wasnt the time.

There were only a few hours of daylight left when you set out towards the village so you didnt get very far from Orochimaru when you had to stop for the night. Once the fire was blazing and everyone had had something to eat Kakashi left the group to go off on his own. You tried to follow after him but when Kakashi doesnt want to be found no one can find him.

You called out to the darkness "I am sorry for not telling you all about my past, but I didnt do anything wrong with Orochimaru." There was no reply so you gave up and turned around heading back to the campfire.

"Something happen between you two?" Sasuke's voice said to you before you reached the campsite. He was leaning against a tree staring at you. Sasuke had always been a mystery to you. You had heard about his past and knew it was a lot like yours but he was still young and still hurt like you were in your youth.

"Yes as you can see something has happened." You didnt really feel like opening up to a kid. Besides there wasnt much that he could do to help you.

He nodded at you before pushing himself up off of the tree. "Looks like you really pissed him off."

Your feelings have been pent up for the past couple of days and that comment just pushed you over the edge. "Look here little boy, I didnt piss him off, he is mad at me under false pretenses. If he would only listen to me and stop brooding like a baby he would be able to see that he had unfairly judged me." Tears were forming in your eyes, you werent really upset at Sasuke but it appeared that way. "Im sorry I didnt mean to yell at you." The tears were rolling down your cheeks now your emotions were so mixed up. Part of you was upset at yourself for not being able to stop Orochimaru from kissing you and part of you was hurt that Kakashi wouldnt listen to you.

Sasuke moved towards you, he wasnt much shorter than you so looking him in the eyes wasnt very hard. "I understand that you are upset but why dont you talk to me about it."

You looked at him wiping away your tears. "How can you help? You dont understand the Kakashi I know."

"I think I understand more that you know. You are upset because Kakashi wont listen to you. Obviously he walked in on you doing something that you shouldnt have been doing." He put his hand up stopping your protest. "Whether you are to blame or not I do not know but I do know that Kakashi has never been happier without you. It is in all of our best interests that you both get back together."

You gave him a weak smile; the kid was smarter than he looked. "It wasnt my fault. Orochimaru was forcing me to kiss him and Kakashi walked in on it."

Sasuke made a gagging sound "I am sorry that is terrible."

You laughed a little bit "Yes it was pretty bad. After Kakashi saw us kissing though Orochimaru continued to play with his mind telling him that I wanted to be with Orochimaru and that I was hiding things from my past from Kakashi."

Sasuke gave a nod. "Well Kakashi is a smart person and I think that if you give him a little time he will come around and realize that Orochimaru was lying and he will forgive you."

You wanted to believe Sasuke but part of you said that Kakashi wouldnt just come around on his own and you were going to have to prove to Kakashi that he was the only one you wanted. "Thank you Sasuke." You whispered before bending down a little bit and giving him a hug. You needed some comfort from someone.

"Well well it looks like you will have anyone who is male." Kakashi's upset voice said from behind you.

Sasuke broke the hug and spoke before you had a chance "Sensei it was just a hug. She needed someone to talk too since you couldnt give her the time of day." It was the only time you had seen Sasuke emit emotion and it surprised you.

"Sasuke this isnt your battle and I suggest you go back to the campsite and get some rest we have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow." Kakashi kept is sight on you while Sasuke regretfully went back to the campfire.

"Kakashi I..." He didnt give you a chance to finish before he interrupted you.

"I would prefer that you didnt change my students against me." His comment stabbed at your heart but all you could do was stand there and take it. "When I saw you kissing Orochimaru I have never felt so much pain in my life. Do you have any idea what I went through to save you, and when I find you its in the arms of him." He spat the last part of the sentence. It was easy to tell that he was very upset and hurt.

"I didnt do anything." You pleaded. When you moved towards Kakashi he backed away from you.

"I dont want you to touch me anko mitarashi." He had never used your full name and that little gesture almost drove you to tears. "When we get back to the village I want you out of my house and out of my life do you understand me." The tears were falling down your cheeks now and all you could do was shake your head yes. He turned his back to you and walked back into the darkness he didnt even seem to care that he had hurt you.

When the morning came you were still awake and your eyes were red from crying all night. You couldnt force yourself to sleep because every time you closed your eyes Kakashi was the first thing you saw. Kakashi had returned to the campsite and he looked just about as bad as you were sure you did. His eyes were red also and he appeared to have been crying. Thankfully most of his face was covered where yours was open for all to see.

The kids were ready to go and you all set out on your way back to the village. It was a long quiet trip and it was past sunset when you finally reached the village. You gave each kid a hug thanking them for coming to save you.

Sasuke was the one you hugged last and he whispered into your ear "Dont let him get away." He gave you a little smile before he walked off. Kakashi was standing at the door to his house when you turned around and looked up at him.

"I suppose you are spending the night here tonight?" He hissed at you before walking into the house leaving the door open for you.
You followed Kakashi into the house most of your thoughts were on Sasuke and how you could not let Kakashi go. When you walked into your room you had forgotten that you hadnt gotten the chance to unpack everything and your bed was not useable. You slowly made your way down to Kakashi's room and knocked on the door. There was no reply and when you thought the he was already asleep the door finally opened.

Kakashi didnt say anything he just looked at you his face still covered by his mask. "I umm forgot that my room is still a mess and I cant sleep in it. I thought that maybe I could sleep here tonight." You were looking down at your hands hoping that he would say yes. You missed being near Kakashi and even if he was mad at you it didnt matter you still wanted to be close to him. He didnt respond to you he only turned around and headed for his bed leaving the door open for you. You took it as he was letting you stay the night there so you walked in.

A smile crossed your face as you saw your boxers and shirt you had wore last time you slept here in a pile on the floor. You picked them up and went into the closet changing into them rolling up your boxers a bit more than needed so that your bottom was more clearly defined in the boxers. You took the loose shirt and tied a knot at the left bottom side of the shirt making it tighter on your body. Kakashi loved you and hopefully by seducing him he would remember how much he actually did love you.

When you came out of the closet you made eye contact with Kakashi his eyes widened as he stared at you. You gave him a big grin as you walked towards the bed as sexy as possible. You swayed your hips from side to side, you felt a bit foolish for exaggerating your movements but you were willing to try anything to get Kakashi back. When you climbed into bed you got on all fours allowing your shirt to fall forward giving Kakashi a full view down your shirt. Instead of getting under the covers and going to sleep you got on top of Kakashi sitting on his lap and facing him while half of his body was trapped under the covers.

"Anko what are you doing?" his eyes had been watching you the whole time and despite the fact that he sounded upset you could feel that parts of him werent.

You didnt answer him you just leaned forward and kissed him. Your lips pressed against his and for a moment you felt the passion and love that you and Kakashi shared. The kiss didnt last very long before Kakashi pushed you away. "anko you dont want to do this, now go to sleep."

You got off of Kakashi and under the covers with your back to Kakashi. Your body was shaking as you were trying to hold back tears. You thought for sure that Kakashi would break under some seducing but he managed like always to see right through you.
Kakashi's hand went on your shoulder "anko dont cry." 'Now he cares' you thought as you kept your back to him

"Im not crying." You whispered choking back tears.

"anko I dont hate you and you dont need to force yourself on me to make me take you back. I was upset and still am its going to take some time for me to get over this and until that happens I think we just need to take a break from each other." He was speaking in his soft voice and it soothed you a little bit but he was still saying that you guys should break up. You finally realized what Sasuke meant by not letting him go and you turned around and faced Kakashi.

"I am not leaving Kakashi, I wont spend the night in here anymore but my room is down that hallway and that is where I am staying till you realize that I didnt do anything wrong." You were looking into Kakashi's eyes and they told you that he was deeply hurt. You blamed yourself partly for hurting him but you were certainly not going to leave him now even if it hurt him more by you being so close.

"Fine you can stay if you really want but you did do something wrong anko you didnt tell me fully about your past. You kept secrets from me and you still havent told me them. A relationship is about trust and right now I cant trust you." He was right you had kept things about your past from him but you hadnt intended too you just hadnt had time to tell him. You lowered your eyes before turning your back to him again.

"I am sorry Kakashi, I didnt mean to hurt you." you whispered before closing your eyes and trying to get some sleep. In the morning you planned on making Kakashi love you all over again, you werent sure how you did it the first time but whatever it took you were going to do it again.

When you woke up Kakashi's arm was around you he was holding you even if he was upset with you he still had feelings for you. You smiled to yourself before carefully getting out of bed. You didnt want to wake him because you were going to surprise him with breakfast. He let out a groan of protest when you got out of bed and his arms reached for you but just missed you. One of his eyes opened and he sleepily asked "Where are you going?"

You gave him a small smile and whispered "I am going to shower and get ready for the day. Now just go back to sleep."

He groaned before getting comfortable and going back to sleep. When he was half asleep it was almost like he forgot that he was mad at you and you wanted him to stay that way as long as possible. You crept out of the room and down the hall to the bathroom where you were finally able to get a shower.

You took a longer shower than you had expected but it had felt so good to finally be clean again. You dressed into your normal clothes of black Capris with a white tank top. You were sure to be quiet you had already disturbed Kakashi once you werent going to do it again.

When you got to the kitchen you searched through the cupboards for ideas on what to make for breakfast. You werent the best cook in the world but you could always make stuff taste fine. After much debating in your head you finally decided on pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs. The bacon and the eggs were the easy part. Making sure the pancakes didnt burn to the pan was tricky. You had to throw away about half of the pancakes because it seemed like one side of the pancake would cook faster than the other and it would turn out burned.

After much frustration you had finally made a decent patch of pancakes. You dished out two plates of food one for yourself and one for Kakashi, you put them on a tray with two glasses of orange juice, silverware, syrup and some napkins and headed upstairs. When you opened the door to his bed room he was still sound asleep. Once you set the tray down on the nightstand next to his side of the bed you could see his eyes start to flutter open. With a smile you sat on the edge of the bed waiting for him to sit up so he could eat.

Slowly and surely he awoke and sat up his back to the wall. At first he smiled at you but as he started to wake up more so did his brain and he remembered why he was mad at you. You understood that he was still mad you didnt expect him to get over it in just one day.

"ankoi I hope you didnt make this in an attempt to make me forgive you." He crossed his arms over his in refusing to eat the breakfast.

You glared at him you knew making the breakfast wouldnt have made him forgive you, you just wanted to do something nice for him. "You can be a real bastard sometime Kakashi. If you could get past your anger for five minutes maybe you would be able to see that it was friend making you breakfast to thank you for saving her life." And with that you got up and left the bedroom.

After you left the bedroom Kakashi's face turned bright red he felt like a jackass and personally that is what he was. He could only see his anger right now and he hadnt meant to hurt your feelings like that. He sighed before getting out a bed and going to look for you. When he found you you were in your bedroom angrily tossing your clothes about the room. You didnt know why but you felt that you needed to change your clothes, you needed to do something to get your mind off a Kakashi.

"anko, Im sorry I didnt mean to act like such a jerk. I am still upset with you but I will gladly eat a breakfast that was made for me by a friend." He was watching you in confusion. He had a hard time understanding girls and you were the worst of them all.

You poked your head out of the closet "Fine, enjoy it! You know where I left it so why are you here?" You hadn’t found anything you wanted to wear instead and so you just sat on the floor in your closet pouting.

"Because someone brought two plates upstairs. Obviously you were waiting to eat breakfast as well so now lets just go enjoy it before it gets too cold." He was trying to appease you but not succeeding to well.

"Go ahead and eat it, personally I like my breakfast cold." You werent in the mood for eating breakfast with pigheaded men.

You heard a little growl from Kakashi before he stormed into the closet swooped down and picked you up. "You are coming to eat breakfast with me whether you like it or not." He carried you all the way down the hallway to his bedroom. When you reached the bedroom he tossed you onto the bed shutting and locking the door behind him.

You sat up in the bed your back against the wall as Kakashi sat next to you handing you a plate. At first you didnt want the plate but when Kakashi threatened to put it all over your head instead you took the plate with a smile. The two of you each had stubborn streaks and it was a battle of tug-o-war to see who would win. Kakashi won this battle but you had a plan that you were sure to win.

After you both had finished a silent breakfast Kakashi went for a shower while you stayed relaxing in bed divulging your plan. When Kakashi came back from the shower his hair was wet and heavy it laid against his head and he looked like a wet shaggy dog. You couldnt help but burst out laughing, you had always seen his hair big and poufy not flat and wet.

"What is so funny?" Kakashi glared at you before walking into the closet.

In between gasps for air you explained "Your hair, its so funny, you look like a dog." Your stomach was hurting from all the laughing but you didnt care.

Kakashi came out in his normal ninja outfit his hair slowly starting to dry and go back to its normal shape. "I cant help what my hair does I dont see how that is funny."

You were calming down and breathing deeply "Im sorry I just always pictured your hair poufy and big not down in your face."

"Well it happens to, get used to it." Kakashi said before walking towards the bed.

"Aww someone is touchy about their hair." You got out of the bed and helped him make it before he headed off to training.

"I am not touchy about my hair." He said it like a five year old child and you had to cover your mouth so you wouldnt laugh.

"Well I guess you are off to training then huh?" you asked after you had both finished making the bed.

"Arent you coming? The kids will be disappointed if you dont show up." He was now putting his band on covering his one eye. His hair was almost dried and it amazed you at how fast it went back to its gravity defining style.

"I think we need some time apart after all you are the one who suggested it, so I think I will stay here and just relax." You gave him smile as you twisted his words against him.

"anko I didnt mean it like that..." you cut him off before he had a chance to go on.

"You cant change my mind so just go to training and be on time for once." He gave you a hurt expression that almost changed your mind but you wanted a chance to put your plan in action and it was easier when he wasnt here.

He walked over to you and you held your breath hoping he was going to kiss you, but when his arm reached behind you and pulled a book off the book shelf you hopes were smashed. He put the book into his vest and gave you a little nod before he turned around and left the room. It was a few minutes later before you heard the front door shut and Kakashi was on his way to training. Your excitement was bubbling and you didnt know which room to do first. You opted for the bathroom since it was the smallest room and probably the easiest one to get done before Kakashi got home. You had always wanted to bring color into his house and now was your chance. You quickly went to the hardware store and picked out your paint colors you didnt have a lot of time so you had to get the fast drying paint which limited your color selection.

When you left the store you had picked out a creamy off white color for the base something not too bold to scare Kakashi. Then you were going to do a border of a shade of red, it wasnt a bright red but more of a faded bright red, one of your favorite colors. Then for another splash of color you picked out a light blue you hoped that the color combination wasnt too bold for Kakashi, you didnt want to scare him. After all you wanted to win the battle of being able to bring color to his house not scare him away from color all together.

The painting took a little bit longer than you expected and when you glanced at the clock you didnt have much time before Kakashi would leave the training grounds. You literally ran to the store to pick out new accessories for the bathroom the colors Kakashi had now didnt not match. You had money stored away from when your parents died and it happened to be enough to get you through your whole life if you wanted, but that would just be boring so you when you were younger took odd jobs here and there and saved even more money. You were glad you had the money now so you could spend it on buying new stuff for Kakashi.

When you got home you search through all of your stuff you got a blue shower curtain to match the blue on the walls. You found some red and cream colored towels which you bought four of each, you can never have enough towels. The bath mat was red, the toothbrush holder was cream, and the soap dispenser was also cream. You hadnt bought a toilet cover mostly because you thought it looked dumb in a guys house but also because there wasnt one that matched. You were putting up the shower curtain when you heard Kakashi walk through the door.

Perfect timing you thought to yourself before calling out to him. "Kakashi can you come to the bathroom please I need your help?"

Kakashi didnt respond and you thought that he might not come but sure enough Kakashi appeared in the doorway with what looked like a shocked expression but you were quite sure because his mask was still on. He looked around the room before looking down at you and all he could say was "Why?"

You gave him a bright smile before walking to him and wrapping your arms around his torso "I thought your house needed some color everything is black and white its so boring."

Slowly his arms went around yours and you knew that he liked it. You reached up and pulled his mask down so that you were able to see all of his face. He was smiling down at you and he gently gave you a squeeze. "I like it a lot anko, thank you." He bent down and kissed your forehead. You would have liked a real kiss but you knew that stubborn upset Kakashi couldnt do that.

"I am glad. Does that mean I can do the rest of your house?" you rested your chin on his chest and gave him big innocent puppy eyes.

"I guess but we are going to do it together I dont want to end up with a pink bedroom or an orange living room." You laughed and stood on tip toes to give his cheek a kiss.

"Thank you, and we can discuss what I had in mind for your bedroom tonight." You patted his butt before sliding past him and going downstairs to the living room. You had a lot of planning to do and you were happy to distract yourself with it.

You were lying across the couch with a pad of paper and a pen in your hand ideas were running through your mind when Kakashi appeared in the living room "You are not touching my room, I happen to like it just as it is."

"I am sure you do." You said without looking up. "But it is going to have to change I dont like it."

"You arent staying in my room; remember you are sleeping in your own bedroom. You can paint that whatever color you want I dont care but you are not touching my room." He was trying to sound mad but he mostly sounded scared. He was scared of change and his room was his sanctuary and you were going to touch it.

"Yea I decided that I like sleeping in your room so Im staying." You looked up from you pad and gave him a smile. "Besides you need color in your room and I will let you have a say in what I put in there."

"I dont want it to change I like it how it is.' He was slowly starting to change to anger but it didnt bother you, you were going to win this no matter what he said.

You went back to your pad of paper and wrote something down. You put the pen up to your lips and bit the end before you spoke "I was thinking maybe a deep shade of green with light colored wood. Kind of like a hunter look but no dead animals."

"anko are you not listening to me." He was starting to yell and it was the first time he had raised his voice to you, it made you smile. "What is so funny?" He walked over to you standing over you while you lay on the couch.

"You, you are just so cute when you are angry. It makes me smile." Your head was lying back on the arm of the couch so you could look up at him.

His voice softened. "anko I am serious I dont want my room changed." You felt a little bad but he didnt know yet that he wanted his room changed. He just couldnt see the big picture and when he did he would like his new room.

"Kakashi I am going to change your room and if you dont like it we can always change it back." You hand reached for his but he pulled it out of your reach. He let out a frustrated yell before he turned and left the room. You were celebrating inside because you finally won a battle.

After a few hours of planning what you were going to do to what room you decided it was time to talk to Kakashi. You needed to tell Kakashi about your past and he needed to understand why you had been keeping things from him. He wasnt going to be happy but then again in the past days he hasnt really been a walk in the park. When you reached his bedroom you knocked on the door before walking in.

You took a deep breath before saying "Kakashi I want to tell you about my past."

Kakashi silently closed his book and set it on the night stand. "Okay what do you want to tell me then?"

You took a deep breath before sitting Indian style at the foot of the bed "I want to tell you all about what I found out after I left the village two years ago." You looked at Kakashi not knowing how to phrase what you wanted to say. "It was only a few weeks after I left the village that I found out how I played a role in the demise of my clan. It all started when I was a child...."

Flash Back

"I hate you mother! I wish you would all just die!" You ran out of the house down to a little river where you spent most of your childhood. You were crying your mother had just told you that they were going to have a baby and that you were going to be a sister. You didnt want to share your parents especially with a little bratty baby. Your other friends were siblings and once the baby came the parents paid less attention to them and more to the baby.

"Do you really want them dead child?" You gasped as you look up at an older man he gave you a warm smile and reached his hand out to you. You took his hand and let him pull you up onto his lap. I can make all your dreams come true child.

You knew that you shouldnt talk to strangers but he seemed like a nice guy. You nodded "Yes I do" you didnt believe that he actually could kill your whole clan or that he even would because everyone knows that killing innocent people is wrong. You figured he was just appeasing you to make you stop crying.

He brushed hair out of your face and gently wiped your tears away. "I will make all of your dreams come true if you promise me something."

"I will promise you anything." You looked up him giving him a little smile.

"You have to promise me when you get older that you will be mine." He picked you up and stood you before he rose himself.

"I promise, oh I promise sir." You were so happy that you ran away without ever catching his name.

End Flash Back

"A few days later when my whole clan was killed I was so traumatized I didnt even think about the man I had promised too. When I found Orochimaru and saw him it all came back to me I remembered him as the man I had so faithfully promised myself too when I was a little girl." You were controlling your tears and you looked down at your hands in your lap. It hurt you to admit that you were the one that killed your clan. You didnt want to tell Kakashi because you were afraid that he would never want to be friends with a murderer and you didnt want to sacrifice your friendship over something you had done as a child so many years ago. You sat there and waiting for Kakashi to say something but when he didnt you knew that he was upset with you. "I am sorry for keeping it from you I just didnt want to lose you as a friend." You were crying now, ever since you came back you had been crying more than you ever have and you couldnt stop yourself. I will just go now, sorry for bothering you.
